Truitt Abstract Company was established in 1870 and has the only complete set of tract indexes in Wapello County. These indexes list duplicate information of county records arranged in property order, beginning with the first land entry in 1849. The company is the only member in Wapello County of the American Land Title Association and the Iowa Land Title Association.
Owner David Truitt and his four employees work closely with realtors, attorneys, banks, mortgage and finance companies, builders and developers, credit unions, and government agencies. Every effort possible is made to ensure a prompt and accurate abstract or certificate of title.
